Professor Leigh Kinsman is Chair of Rural Health Research and Director of the Violet Vines Marshman Centre for Rural Health Research at La Trobe University. A nationally recognised leader in rural health systems improvement, his work focuses on reducing inequities in access, quality and outcomes for rural Australians through community-driven research and service innovation. He currently leads the $2.8 million MRFF-funded RISE4SkinCancer program in Victoria’s Loddon Mallee region, bringing together people with lived experience with primary care, hospitals, Aboriginal organisations and communities to reduce delays in skin cancer care. Leigh is passionate about building practical, scalable partnerships that deliver measurable health impact for rural communities.
