Dr. Yevgeniy (“Eugene”) R. Semenov, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and Co-Director of the Oncodermatology Program at MGH. He is a board-certified dermatologist and physician-scientist whose work focuses on the intersection of dermatology, artificial intelligence, and precision medicine, with a particular emphasis on cutaneous oncology and melanoma.

Dr. Semenov received his undergraduate training in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a master’s degree in Applied Economics, followed by his medical degree, from Johns Hopkins University. He completed residency training in Dermatology at Washington University School of Medicine. His clinical expertise centers on melanoma and supportive oncodermatology, caring for patients across the spectrum of cancer-associated skin disease.

He is the Principal Investigator of the NIH- and DoD-funded Dermatology Clinical Informatics Laboratory, an Investigator in the Laboratory of Systems Pharmacology within Harvard Medical School’s Department of Therapeutic Sciences, and a member of the Harvard Data Science Initiative. His research leverages large multi-institutional datasets, digital histopathology, and machine learning to develop and validate AI-enabled tools for risk stratification, outcome prediction, and precision care in dermatologic oncology.
